Police arrested a person Friday afternoon after responding to a report of a shooting at a YES Prep charter school in southwest Houston, authorities said.

Update 1:15 p.m. CDT Oct. 1: Citing an unidentified law enforcement source, Houston Public Media reported that an employee was injured in the shooting on Friday at a Houston charter school.
The unidentified employee was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to Houston Public Media. Her condition was initially unknown.
Update 1:10 p.m. CDT Oct. 1: Houston Fire Department officials told KTRK-TV that a person was rushed to hospital at YES Prep Southwest Secondary after reports of a shooting on Friday.
In a statement received from the news channel, YES preparation officers confirmed that someone opened fire at the school.
“No students were injured,” the statement said. “The students were transported to W. Fuqua and Hiram Clarke, where they can be picked up. Please do not go to school; Roads are being blocked by the Houston Police Department. “
