The unofficial end of summer is just around the corner. Labor Day is Monday, September 6th and these local locations have special Monday brunches, Labor Day parties, and weekend food and drink specials to celebrate.
a’Bouzy, 2300 Westheimer
Say goodbye to summer with a’Bouzy’s Labor Day Brunch, which takes place on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (dinner follows from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.); or go for a take away BBQ Feast for Two special with half a rack of ribs, Cornish wild hen, smoked sausage, coleslaw, BBQ baked beans, and a bottle of Altos las Hormigas Malbec for $ 42. add a kid’s meal of hot dogs, french fries, and fresh fruit for $ 8.99). The Conroe Brewery is holding a Labor Day Backyard BBQ from 12:00 to 18:00 with a Cornole tournament (from 12:00 to 13:00, registration in the brewery) and delicious food from Vick’s BBQ.
Bobcat Teddy’s Icehouse, 2803 White Oak
Bobcat Teddy’s is hosting a Labor Day party on Monday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with free hot dogs and hamburgers for guests while supplies last, as well as live music by Roger Tienken.

Brazil, 2604 Dunlavy
The Montrose staple will be open on Labor Day for a special Monday brunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy smoked salmon or prosciutto eggs Benny, El Salvador-style eggs with pork and cheese pupusa, and his iconic favorite 44 Farms Double Burger, the Cheeseburger in Paradise. Mimosa carafes (for four to five people) are the perfect way to wash everything down.
Dish Society, multiple locations
The Dish Society restaurants will celebrate Labor Day by hosting Monday brunch from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by the usual social hour and dinner offerings with table service until 10:00 p.m., shrimp & smoked gouda grits, Pork Belly Hash and more. The Dish Society’s full menu is also available for takeaway and delivery via online orders.

FM Kitchen & Bar, 1112 Shepherd, 907 Westheimer
FM Kitchen & Bar is serving brunch Saturday through Monday September 4-6 in both the original Shepherd and newly opened Montrose locations. Both locations will also be introducing newly added chilaquiles to the brunch menus, along with FM standards like Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and Build-Your-Own Mimosas.
Goode Co. Taqueria, 4902 Kirby
On this Labor Day, get a Tex-Mex breakfast and brunch menu from 8 a.m. onwards. The new breakfast items include Huevos Ahogados – two eggs too light with salsa ranchera over a crispy bean and cheese tostada with bacon, pork sausage, ham or chorizo of your choice and with a queso fresco and crema; La Guisada – two eggs, of any kind, over pork and green chilli stew, garnished with a queso fresco and crema; and chilaquiles – two eggs, chilli-flavored tortilla chips with salsa ranchera, garnished with queso fresco, red onions, and crema; all are served with rice, beans, avocado, pico de gallo, and flour or corn tortillas.
Gr8 Plate Hospitality: Jax Grill & The Union Kitchen, multiple locations
Jax Grill in Bellaire and Rice Military, and The Union Kitchen in Cypress and Memorial will all be open on Monday, September 6th. All four Gr8 Plate hospitality stores are offering a free entry ticket on Labor Day.
Hopdoddy Burger Bar, multiple locations
From Thursday, September 2 through Monday, September 6, you can order Hopdoddy’s DIY burger kit ($ 29.95, for five people) and receive a free 12-ounce bottle of hop sauce when you enter the code “BOTTLED” use the cash register. Add in the Hopdoddy’s Roadie, a half-gallon bag of frozen house margarita for good measure. All orders can be placed for collection online or in person at any Hopdaddy location.
Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette, 4224 San Felipe, 963 Bunker Hill
The local favorite serves Monday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Labor Day.
Market Square Park, 301 Milam
A Labor Day Backyard Barbeque will take place in Market Square Park, with lawn games, a watermelon eating competition, cold brew and BBQ from traditional to Korean and vegan, as well as live music by Danny Ray & the Acoustic Production. The fun starts at 4 p.m.
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, multiple locations
Perry’s offers the Fajita Steakhouse Smorgasbord, which is only available to take away until September 30th. For $ 125, the board feeds four to six and contains a pound each of crusted ribeye fajitas, signature pork fajitas, and grilled sous vide chicken (add shrimp). for an additional $ 25), served with sautéed onions and peppers, Mexican rice, guacamole, salsa verde, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, and flour or corn tortillas.
Phat Eatery, 23119 Colonial Parkway
From Saturday through Monday, September 6th, Phat Eatery will toast the three-day weekend with $ 3 pints of local draft beer and $ 3 large servings of hot sake. For dinner only.
The Rustic, 1836 Polk, 1121 Uptown Park
On Sunday evening, guests can enjoy the long weekend with live music from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. followed by a happy hour with $ 5 frozen and selected bites from 3pm to 6pm
Space Cowboy and Heights House Hotel, 100 West Cavalcade
Space Cowboy Bar & Lounge and Heights House Hotel are hosting a poolside party on Sunday 5th September. The party features a DJ by the pool from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., specialty drinks and snow cones for adults. Chef Lyle Bento will be grilling platters of turkey, brisket, sausage, and side dishes for $ 25, and the hotel is also offering discounted pool-view rooms for $ 80 on Sunday nights, complete with swag bags and a bottle of champagne. Chef Tim Love’s Levy Park Smokehouse will continue its ongoing weekend concert series with concerts on Saturday September 5th and Sunday September 6th, and Houston country artist Susan Hickman will follow on Sunday from 6:30 pm to 9pm: 30 o’clock
