Actions: Upcoming food and drinks occasions in Houston this Fall 2021

ReikiNa, 799 Town & Country, has launched a new cocktail menu and a new, walk-in café and bar area. [email protected] (now open from Thursday to Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.). It offers a la carte menu, expertly prepared cocktails and wines by the glass and in the bottle, with highlights such as sashimi, sausages and favorites from ReikiNa’s opening tasting menu, from chicken liver mousse and crab agemono to a Texas- Wagyu burger with miso onions and fish sauce aioli. ReikiNa’s eight-course tasting menu is only available by reservation, with a communal seat from Thursday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m. for up to 20 people.

Torchy’s Tacos is celebrating National Taco Day (October 4th) and is offering free delivery on all orders on Monday 4th October through Friday 8th October.

Dozier’s BBQ, 8222 Farm to Market 359, is hosting a Pitmaster Party: Wild Game Edition on Saturday, October 9th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with top pitmasters from the Houston area and beyond for the benefit of the Fulshear Police Foundation. In addition to Dozier’s Jim Buchanan, Anthony McDonald and guest chef Robert Lerma, the talented line-up includes Patrick Feges from Feges BBQ, Quy Hoang from Blood Bros. Barbecue, Russell Roegels from Roegels Barbecue; John Brotherton from Brotherton’s Black Iron Barbecue, Ara Malekian from Harlem Road BBQ, Brett Jackson from Brett’s Barbecue Shop and Scott Moore from Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue. Tickets are $ 75 and include samples of each of the participating BBQ outfits as well as live music on the deck (drinks can be purchased separately).

Saint Arnold and the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, 4501 Woodway, are teaming up for the Pup Crawl Pet Expo on Sunday, October 10th. The dog-friendly nature and beer walk takes place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the arboretum trails. Take on a Halloween theme this year. Bring your furry friend in costume to win fun prizes, sip Saint Arnold brews, and check out local pet dealers along the way. Tickets are $ 40 (21+, free for kids). The event is rain or shine.

The Annie Café & Bar, 1800 Post Oak, is bringing its Supper Club back on Sunday October 10th and interpreting the classic “Dinner & a Show” with an evening of Motown songs by the Richard Brown Orchestra with Kelley Peters and Bob Luna new to guests Shawn Sounds from “The Voice” and Christina Wells from “America’s Got Talent” along with special guest and MC, Deborah Duncan. Guests can enjoy Motown, big band, and swing favorites alongside a three-course Prix Fixe meal from Chef Robert Del Grande and Chef Jose Valencia. Tickets are $ 195 per person and include the food and show. Seats are at 5pm and 8pm and reservations are required (reservations on OpenTable under Experience or by calling 713-804-1800).
