The Saint Arnold Brewing Company is hosting a virtual beer and cheese couple with founder / brewer Brock Wagner and cheese merchant Nicole Buergers of the Houston Dairymaids on Friday, August 27th at 6pm. Tasting packages (limited) are $ 53 and include six Saint Arnold beers, five cheeses selected by Houston Dairymaids, a homemade biscuit from Saint Arnold pastry chef Dawn Prater, local honey from the Bee2Bee Honey Collective, and a pairing sheet that is given to you helps. Pre-ordering and collection of goods at the Saint Arnold Beer Garden & Restaurant, 2000 Lyon, Drive-Thru from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. of the day.

Dessert Gallery, 3600 Kirby, celebrates the Jewish High Holidays with a selection of dessert specials that can be pre-ordered through September 1 for Rosh Hashanah and September 12 for Yom Kippur. Choose from favorites from the classic Apple Brown Betty and Chocolate Concorde Cake to hand-decorated Christmas cookies.

Kenny & Ziggy’s, 2327 Post Oak, is now taking orders for Yom Kippur (which begins Wednesday, September 15 at sunset) until 1pm

Brennan’s of Houston, 3300 Smith, has brought back its $ 99 3-course dinner for two, available September 1-30, with a wine selection to spice up your next night out.

From September 3rd, Le Jardinier, 5500 Main, will be offering a lunch service, open at 11am to greet guests at the bar and offer lunch from Wednesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 2pm. Michelin star chef Alain Verzeroli, together with head chef Andrew Ayala, has put together a special menu with highlights such as Carolina Gold Rice Risotto with roasted pumpkin, mimolette and crispy kale; and Texas Gulf Shrimp with Gristmill Grits, Savoy Cabbage, and Bisque. Reservations are possible on Resy.

Our 7th annual Tacolandia event returns to The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou this year, with the Outdoor Taco Sampling Extravaganza for Saturday, October 16 from 4pm to 7pm, Hughie’s Tavern & Grill and Click Virtual Food Hall. General admission tickets are now on pre-sale for $ 35 ($ 25 each for 4-packs), including 4pm entry to the event, unlimited taco samples, music, and a cash bar. VIP tickets currently cost $ 75 and include 3:00 p.m. entry, unlimited food samples, VIP lounge access, exclusive taco samples for VIPs only, three drink tickets for the VIP Private Bar, and access to VIP toilets. All guests must be at least 21 years old and the event is rain or shine.
