The Houston rapper announced he is opening his own restaurant in Houston, aptly named Trill Burgers.
STAY CALM: 10 “cool” Houston dishes made for summer dinner
Amy McCarthy of Eater Houston reports that there isn’t yet a date or location for the fast-casual restaurant to open, but that Trill Burgers will specialize in smashburgers – burgers made with super-thin, crispy patties.
According to McCarthy, Bun B works with Andy Nguyen of Afters Ice Cream and the owners of Sticky’s Chicken, Patsy and Benson Vivere. Trill Burgers opens for the first time as a pop-up at Sticky’s Chicken in August.
“I’ve been fascinated by the culinary scene for years and try to find the best entry point for myself,” wrote Bun B on Instagram. “Today I can say that I found it.”
Bun B’s official foray into the Houston food scene isn’t a shock. He has welcomed his favorite Houston restaurants and posted many of his own cooking tutorials on YouTube in 2017 and 2018, on what is perhaps the best YouTube series of all time: Trill Mealz.

Until Trill Burgers opens, their YouTube channel doesn’t have an official bun-B burger recipe, but the oven-roasted chicken still looks incredibly good.
