Best Food Hall: Bravery Chef Hall
Food halls are popping up all over Houston these days, and while they all offer something exciting, Downtown Houston Bravery Chef Hall ranks among the rest. The concept itself is unique: where other food halls fall back on popular chains or second locations already offer exciting restaurant concepts, all Bravery sellers are local chefs with their own kitchen counter.
Current food sellers include The Blind Goat, which serves contemporary Vietnamese cuisine by winner “Masterchef: Season 3” and blind chef Christine Ha; BOH Pasta & Pizza offers fresh pasta and Roman pizza from Chef Ben McPherson; Kokoro, a high-end sushi concept from sushi chef partners Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee; Margaux’s Oyster Bar and Margaux Button Crepes and Sweets by Chef / Owner Choey Dang; and Ixim, serving regional Mexican cuisine by Chef Tim Reading and partner Jonathan Gallardo, the owner / mixologist behind Bravery’s Secret Garden HTX outdoor cocktail bar. All together is the Bravery Wine Bar, which has 30 wines on tap and a 100-bottle menu, as well as the coffee and pastry shop The Italian Job.
