Best Seafood: Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House
Over in San Leon, right next to Galveston and Trinity Bays, is the oyster house you never knew you needed. Here, Chef Joe Cervantez – a Brennan’s alum tapped by second-generation oyster man Raz Halili of San Leon’s world-renowned Prestige Oysters – offers a hyper-local oyster experience along with some incredible Gulf-influenced seafood. Be sure to start with a few freshly peeled oysters by the dozen and a half-dozen, served raw and with the right accessories, or hot off the grill and bubbly with things like crab gratin, cheesy breadcrumbs, and habanero butter. Then dig into main courses from redfish chimichurri and cornmeal-crusted snapper to grouper in coconut sauce. Slurping. Wash. Repeat.
