Houston driver killed after co-driver shootout, police say – KIRO 7 Information Seattle

HOUSTON – A Houston driver died Sunday after getting into an argument with a passenger in his vehicle that escalated into a shootout, investigators said.

Houston police said the driver’s Mercedes-Benz hit a pole near a gas station at around 3:30 a.m., KTRK reported.

The officers found the two men with gunshot wounds in the rubble. Both were taken to a hospital where the driver later died.

It is unclear what led to the dispute.

The identity of the driver and passenger was not disclosed. It is unclear whether charges will be brought against the passenger.
