Houston investor buys Dallas actual property group workplaces

Don’t be surprised if you see a sign that reads “SOLD” outside the office of the local brokers’ association.

The MetroTex Association of Realtors has sold its longstanding Stemmons Freeway headquarters to a Houston-based investor.

North Texas’s largest real estate organization has been based in a two-story, 30,000-square-foot office building on Stemmons Freeway in northwest Dallas for decades.

Earlier this year, the Real Estate Association, which represents more than 20,000 real estate agents in North Texas, began building a new headquarters in Irving, just south of Interstate 635.

When the new building was on the way, the MetroTex Realtors decided to sell the old offices.

The Houston-based Bahar Holding II Inc. acquired the building in northwest Dallas, according to the Dallas deeds.

The realtor property sale is the latest in a series of transactions in this Dallas area.

The property is near the Pegasus Park redevelopment, which is converting an 18-story office tower and surrounding buildings into a state-of-the-art home for biotech firms and nonprofits.
