Houston is among the first cities to obtain Uber Costco gadgets

Uber and Costco have formed a new partnership in which Uber will deliver Costco merchandise, and the first place it will be offered is – ta-da – Texas.

According to a press release, the two companies participated in a delivery pilot program with 25 locations across the state where Costco members could theoretically get their Costco goods delivered in hours, if not minutes, using Uber and Uber Eats.

No longer do you have to drive to the Costco to get your 64-count crate of Flamin ‘Hot Cheetos. No more trying to pinch your jumbo 12-pack of paper towels in the back of your SUV.

Costco currently offers online orders and deliveries through its own channels and additional third parties.

But starting today, Uber users in Houston, Dallas and Austin can order from their local Costco warehouses.

Seven more Costco warehouses will be available to Uber users through the Uber and Uber Eats mobile apps in the coming weeks. The minimum order value is $ 35 and delivery is free for Uber Pass and Eats Pass holders.

This is Uber’s first pilot with a grocery wholesaler in the United States.

But Uber is all over the grocery store. They have just formed their first food partnership with Albertson’s, with more than 400 cities and towns in major US metro areas, including Miami, Dallas, New York City, San Francisco, Washington DC, and Phoenix, with more to come In 2021.
