Houston Livestock Present and Rodeo Pronounces Pre-Rodeo Occasions in 2022

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Rodeo fans, get ready to dust off your boots for the Houston Livestock Show and next year’s rodeo!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, half of the 2020 rodeo season was canceled and this year had certain restrictions. But your favorite event is back for 2022.

On Wednesday, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo announced the schedule for the 2022 pre-rodeo events. These include the Rodeo Roundup and Go Texan Day, the World’s Championship BBQ Contest, horse rides and even the downtown parade.

To celebrate its 90th anniversary, the Rodeo 2022 will take place from February 28th to March 20th.

This is what the committee planned:

  • 24.-26. February: World Championship barbecue competition
  • February 25: Rodeo Roundup and Go Texan Day and horse rides
  • February 26th: Downtown Rodeo Parade and Rodeo Run
