Houston Police Patrol Automotive Crashes Throughout Chase; Suspects hit taco retailers in east Houston, police say

HOUSTON – Two Houston police officers are fine after crashing their HPD patrol car at the end of a chase in east Houston on Wednesday, police said.

Police said it happened when police responded to a break-in call.

Officials said they spotted two men behind a building who took off and led them on a chase on I-45.

According to investigators, the suspects eventually crashed into the Brothers Taco House on Leeland near Hutchins, where both men jumped and ran.

Officials said they quickly captured one of the men while a K-9 found the second during a search.

Police said one of the suspects was slightly injured when the airbags deployed.
