Information to Houston Restaurant Weeks eating in Katy, Fort Bend eating

Houston Restaurant Weeks is one of the most anticipated events in the community, and the names and features of the participating restaurants have just been announced.

After taking a break due to COVID-19, HRW is celebrating a triumphant return. From August 1st through September 6th, participating restaurants in the Houston area are offering special menus for their guests, and this is for a good cause.

These fixed-price menus offer an affordable taste of their cuisine, and a portion of their sales go to the Houston Food Bank. All fixed price dinners are $ 49 or $ 35, and lunch and brunch are $ 20. Of these meal prizes, $ 5, $ 3, and $ 1, respectively, will be donated.

Since its inception in 2003, HRW has donated more than $ 16 million to the Houston Food Bank. More than 100 Houston area restaurants will be participating in HRW, and five Katy area restaurants are proud to join their ranks.

Avenida Brazil offers more than just Brazilian steaks and cuisine – it is an experience. Cooks prepare food right at the table and entertain hungry guests as they watch their food come together.

The Avenida Brazil HRW menu includes dinner for $ 49 per person.

The first course is a gourmet salad bar and Brazilian cheese bread with seasonal offers from the chef.

For the second and third courses, the meat is carved directly from the grill on the table. Choose from salmon, fillet of beef, pancha, fillet of beef, parmesan pork, bacon-wrapped chicken, St. Louis pork ribs, sausage, chicken legs and a side dish.

For the fourth course, choose between a New York Style Cheesecake, a Brazilian Flan, a Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake or a Creme Brulee.

Kokai Sushi and Lounge – Katy

The Japanese fusion restaurant Kokai Sushi and Lounge offers a fixed price dinner for $ 35.

The first course offers some of the typical dishes from Kokai: Sake Tartare, Maguro Cocktail, Suzuki Fry or Guy Kushkatzu.

The second course offers a selection of Miami Chef Roll, Geisha Roll, Shrimp Yakisoba or Mushimono.

For the third course, guests can choose between Almond Pie, a Brownie or Torta Helada.

Landry’s Seafood House – Katy

Described as “Soul Food Cajun and Creole”, Landry’s offers southern-style seafood.

For HRW, Landry’s offers dinner for $ 49 or lunch for $ 20.

The first course offers a choice of iceberg wedge salad, crab, spinach and artichoke dip or chicken and sausage gumbo.

As a second choice, choose between mahi mahi with almond crust, redfish verona or chicken with parmesan crust.

The dessert course includes creme brulee, cinnamon bread pudding or bananas foster.

Saltgrass Steak House – Katy and Sugar Land locations

The Saltgrass Steak House is all about the grill. The restaurant serves steaks, chicken and seafood, as well as bread, soups and desserts. For HRW, Saltgrass offers dinner for $ 35.

The first course offers a selection of Queso Fresco, Fried Mushrooms or Range Rattlers.

This is followed by a selection of Gulf Coast Steak and Shrimp, Bacon Wrapped Filet and Shrimp, or Blackened Redfish.

The third and last course consists of a selection of apple cake a la Mode, cheesecake or carrot cake.

State Fare Kitchen & Bar brings Mediterranean home-style cooking to the table with offerings such as fried chicken, mac and cheese and frito pie. The state plan offers a $ 20 lunch option or a $ 35 dinner option for HRW.

The first course includes either Smoked Bacon Deviled Eggs, Original Southwest Caesar Salad or Jalapeno Hush Puppies.

H-Town Hot Fried Chicken, fried Verlasso salmon or Chicken Fried Ribeye Steak round off the second course.

The third course offers Southern Fried Oreos, Wild Berry Bread Puddin ‘or Mason Jar Banana Puddin’.
