Four other Houston restaurants will soon be in the spotlight of diners, drive-ins and dives. The Food Network has revealed episodes and broadcast dates showing places host Guy Fieri visited during a trip to Houston in April.
Fresco Cafe Italiano as part of “Cookin ‘From Scratch” on Friday 3rd September at 8pm
Weights + measurements as part of “Cookin ‘From Scratch” on Friday, September 3rd at 8 pm
Be More Pacific as part of “Inland & Abroad” (still to be broadcast)
“An Empanada Empire” (most likely The Original Marini’s Empanada House) as part of “Fresh From Flavortown” on Friday, September 3rd at 9pm.
Fieri’s visit to Traveler’s Table Restaurant in Montrose first aired on August 13 as part of an episode entitled “Mouthwatering Meat”. Still to be aired are the chef’s other stations in Houston, including The Toasted Coconut, The Pit Room and a return visit to Kenny & Ziggy’s.
Weights + Measures is holding a watch party on September 3 from 7 to 9 p.m. at which some of the dishes Fieri tasted during the taping – the signature carrot pizza – and specialty drinks await you.
In addition to filming television episodes, Fieri also prepared a special birthday dinner for television actor Lee Majors, star of The Six Million Dollar Man and The Fall Guy. The chef also honored the “Dives” portion of his show title by stopping by Lola’s Depot in Montrose for a drink.
