Mann was recognized as a suspect within the deadly taking pictures of a mom and teenage daughter within the SE Houston residence advanced

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – A man was charged with capital murder after allegedly shooting a mother and her 16-year-old daughter in an apartment complex in southeast Houston in June.

Upon investigation, Houston police identified the wanted suspect as 51-year-old Manuel Birriel Carrasquillo. He remains at large.

Officials with HPD, as well as officers from the Houston Fire Department, were posted to the complex at the 7500 block on Drouet Street on June 12.

Family members identified the bodies in the apartment as 35-year-old Leslie Reyes and her teenage daughter Esly Jimenez Erzo.

When the police arrived, they were picked up by a relative of Reyes and Erzo’s who said they went to the apartment after one of them failed to show up for a birthday party to attend, Sgt. Said Cullen Duncan.

According to police, both Reyes and Erzo were pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD has released a surveillance video of Birriel Carrasquillo. The video can be viewed below.

Police described his vehicle as a white 2012 Nissan Rogue with no hubcaps. The vehicle has Texas license plates that read PGS-5720.

Police also said that Birriel Carrasquillo goes by the code name Vicente Lopez Garcia.
