Native Enterprise Proprietor Nonetheless Struggling With COVID Issues At Houston Hospital – Port Arthur Information

A beloved Mid County business owner stays in hospital after contracting COVID-19, but friends say he continues to struggle despite setbacks.

Joe Oates, co-owner of Boss Burger, joined St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston in early August. And progress has continued despite sporadic challenges, according to regular updates on social media.

According to an update from Ms. Mary given Monday, Joe has contracted pneumonia again and has been put on strong antibiotics.

“Apart from that, he saw me and tried to speak to me,” she wrote. “The anesthesia made him tired and slept the rest of the time I was there.”

Joe has been in intensive care for the past two weeks.

A donation account was opened with the Neches Federal Credit Unit at Benefit for Boss Burger Owners Joe and Mary, no. 3070890.
