Two brand new nightclubs will soon open their doors in Houston to introduce the city’s party scene.
According to a press release, the two new companies are a project of the newly founded Sekai Hospitality. The first is an upcoming Washington Corridor nightclub called Wyld Chld, which will take the place previously occupied by Benjy’s at 5922 Washington Avenue. The club with the strange name is said to be a luxury party destination, complete with a 1,000-square-foot rooftop and outdoor deck, plus live music and other entertainment options.
“Houston has become internationally known for its gastronomy, cultural offerings and parks,” says Sal Wise, partner at Sekai Hospitality. “We want to create the same excitement and attractiveness for day and night life.”
Shortly after Wyld Chld opens its doors, the group plans to open Sekai Day and Night in EaDo. The club opens in a 26,000-square-foot warehouse on 1505 Saint-Emanuel Street that is currently being completely remodeled to include a 10-meter bar and a resort-style outdoor pool with cabanas, couches and day beds. As the name suggests, the club expects to be a party destination during the day and night.
No opening date has been announced for Wyld Child or Sekai Day and Night, but both are expected to arrive in the fall. On August 16, the company is holding a staff fair to begin staffing both operations.
