North Houston space enterprise proprietor who provides again to the group by way of supportive initiatives

Members of the North Harris County community have a variety of ways to feed, vaccinate, and support their families thanks to local business owner Tiffany Magee.

Magee, a native of Louisiana and based in Texas since 2014, is leveraging her Showtime Bar and Lounge business and event planning experience to host events with vaccinations, school supplies, and more for the remainder of 2021.

Magee previously served as State Director of Miss Black Louisiana USA for four years and awarded more than $ 10,000 in awards and scholarships. She also created the couture for a cause fashion show in New Orleans.

“I’ve always attended charitable events,” said Magee. “I was the State Director of Miss Black Louisiana USA, and when I did that, it was a requirement for my attendees to hold a nonprofit event.”

Magee originally opened Showtime after seeing popular sports bars in south Houston and wanted the north side to have the same fun opportunities. Showtime has hosted music artists like Kool Moe Dee and single mixers to cast its OWN reality show “Ready to Love”.

“Inspiration comes in many forms and I really believe these events are exactly what is needed right now to meet the needs of so many residents who are still grappling with the financial repercussions of the pandemic,” Magee said in one Press release. “Giving back by helping others is of course part of my DNA and upbringing.”

Magee has also partnered with local black companies like Juggle Learning, Safe Place, and Paul Fadez to provide services for their events, such as the community giveaway in August or the Thanksgiving Turkey Sweepstakes in November.

“In the state we are in the country, I felt it was imperative that we work together and unite and help the community,” said Magee. “We get support so our business can go on, so it’s inevitable that we give back to those who can’t even support us.”

The plan is to continue philanthropic events within Showtime beyond 2021, Magee said, but right now she is busy preparing for upcoming events, like recruiting volunteers for an upcoming event to feed the homeless.
