Police level out a damaged site visitors gentle and climate situations within the crash in northwest Houston that killed 1

HOUSTON – A person is dead after an accident with a broken traffic light early Wednesday in northwest Houston, police said.

The crash occurred in the 1800 block of Blalock Road around 5:20 a.m.

Houston police said a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling north near the above address and traveling east on Campbell Road in a brown Toyota Corolla. The Toyota passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police said that initial investigations had shown that the traffic lights at the intersection were not working and that the weather conditions impaired visibility. Authorities believe alcohol wasn’t a factor in the crash.

The victim’s identity must be verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The charges have not yet been brought as the investigation continues.
