Known for its authentic family-owned recipes and fresh homemade hummus and falafel, this is Fadi’s sixth Mediterranean Cuisine in Houston and eighth place overall. This time it will be a family affair as his surgical team will meet his nephew, Nabil Dimassi, and his daughter, Lana Dimassi. Nabil will oversee the operation of the new location on the Westheimer and Lana will take control of marketing, public relations and social media.

“When we first opened Fadi’s Mediterranean Cuisine in 1997, not everyone knew about Mediterranean food,” says Fadi Dimassi. “Now everyone eats Mediterranean because it is healthy and tasty.”

Born and raised in Saida, Lebanon, Fadi began training in his family’s restaurant at the age of 19 and today serves his award-winning Mediterranean cuisine at all locations in Houston and Dallas. Fadi started his restaurant career initially working in his family’s restaurants, but over the years he has embraced his passion for cooking and honed his culinary skills Houston Art Institute in 2015. To improve his culinary skills and gain more experience, Fadi regularly participates in local food competitions and has won several including Zest in the West and Katy Sip N Stroll.

In order to provide guests with a better experience in a post-COVID environment, Fadi’s Mediterranean Cuisine is making several changes to its menu and offerings. Firstly, Fadi’s is changing its ordering process and foregoing fixed combination options in order to enable orders a la carte – which leads to lower prices and easier portion control. This ordering process is also added to the online ordering experience and offers even greater value for catering and take away orders. Since the beginning of the pandemic, catering and take-away orders at Fadi’s Mediterranean Cuisine have increased by over 30%.

For the first time in the restaurant’s history, all Fadi’s Mediterranean Cuisine locations are participating in the Houston Restaurant Weeks by: a $ 20 Lunch menu with main course, four (4) half-sides and dessert. Houston Restaurant Weeks benefits and is run by the Houston Food Bank August 1st to September 6th, 2021.

Fadi’s Mediterranean cuisine is a popular local favorite for Mediterranean cuisine and has been voted Best Mediterranean and Best Falafel in Houston (Houston Press/ Reader’s Choice) and among the top spots in the Mediterranean in Houston (Click2Houston).
